News Daily Digital Desk: An international center for traditional medicine is being set up in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The Center has already signed the MoU with the World Health Organization (WHO) in this regard. On Friday, the Union Ministry of AYUSH signed an agreement with WHO for this new joint venture. The interim work will be carried out by the Institute of Training and Research in Ayurveda, Gujarat.

On the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted welcoming the initiative. According to him, “we can contribute to making the world healthier and a better world.” The WHO also welcomed the initiative of the Government of India. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a tweet that the global center would go a long way in improving the quality of traditional medicine with the help of modern science and technology.
The center will invest মিল 250 million for the Jamnagar project. The aim of the Government of India is to conduct research on traditional medicine from different parts of the world and medicines used in Ayurvedic medicine in India. In fact, WHO estimates that billions of people around the world still use Ayurvedic medicine. The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanam Ghebriasus, says: “Ayurvedic medicine is still the first choice of medicine for many people in the world. Our goal is to deliver safe medicine to them. ”

Of the 194 member countries of the WHO, 160 recognize Ayurvedic medicine. Thus, there is a huge market for Ayurvedic medicines around the world. The Indian government is targeting that market. That is why the Modi government has set a target of huge investment in this factory in Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also suggested capturing the market for Ayurvedic medicines on Sunday’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. He said, “Another encouraging trend in the last few years is the increasing investment in the AYUSH market. Many start-ups have started. ”
